Next up is another bridge across the Malaya Neva.
After almost a year of processing, the project for the construction of a bridge across the Malaya Neva River near the island of Serny (where the river channel has the smallest width) was sent for approval to Glavgosexpertiza. Its construction has been postponed several times in previous years, and recent adjustments to outdated projects have been caused by the fact that in a few years the potential crossing gates have managed to "overgrow" new buildings. If Glavgosexpertiza gives a positive conclusion (two months are allotted for this), the construction of the bridge, the channel part of which is likely to be cable-stayed, will begin in 2015.
The bottleneck has been eliminated
Traffic has opened in the Kaliningrad region along the previously problematic 17-kilometer section of the Kaliningrad—Chernyakhovsk—Nesterov federal highway A229 between the villages of Zaozerye and Kurgan (8-25 km). It is one of the two transit highways of the only Russian enclave. It crosses the entire territory of the region from west to east to the borders with Lithuania, providing access to the "mainland" Russia through this Baltic country, and connects most of the regional administrative districts with Kaliningrad. The Zaozerye—Kurgan section on the A229 was a kind of "bottleneck". Cars were moving in one lane in each direction, which caused constant traffic jams and many drivers used detours. Now they have a four—lane highway with an estimated speed of 120 km/h. 4 bridges and 6 overpasses have been built or reconstructed on it, an above-ground pedestrian crossing has been erected, modern bus stops have been equipped, and noise barriers have been installed near populated areas.… As a result, the A229 became a four-lane highway almost to the state border. The next step is the construction of such important road facilities in the enclave as bypasses of the cities of Chernyakhovsk, Sovetsk and Kaliningrad itself, as well as the completion of the highway from the Primorsky Ring to Baltiysk.
The Plate will become a registry office after all!
In Moscow, in a special glazed capsule (popularly called a flying saucer), which is mounted at an altitude of about 100 m under the dome of the arch of a Picturesque Bridge, the registry office will finally start working. The suspended Wedding Palace is 99% complete. It's just a matter of a special elevator, which has already been ordered by the authorities of the metropolis. The cable-stayed Scenic bridge over the Moskva River in the Northern Administrative District of the capital, which is part of Zvenigorodsky Ave., was opened in December 2007. Initially, they were going to "hang" an observation deck under its arch, then a restaurant, but in the end they settled on a proposal to arrange a registry office there.
Overpass over the Trans-Siberian Railway
In Omsk, in the alignment of Torgovaya St., near the Karbyshevo railway station, traffic has opened on a new overpass over the Trans-Siberian railway. The length of the structure is more than 110 m, the cost is 770,000,000 rubles. The commissioning of the overpass will significantly improve the traffic situation on the Omsk Left Bank.
From Oktyabrsky to Krasnoufimsk
The bridge built across the Ufa River shortened the route from the village of Oktyabrsky (Perm Region) to Krasnoufimsk (Sverdlovsk region) by up to 30 km. More recently, these settlements were connected only by a railway, and motorists had to make a detour of about 170 km. The ferry was built in three years with funds allocated from the budget of the Sverdlovsk region. The construction of the bridge and the 1.5-kilometer section of road adjacent to it cost more than 160,000,000 rubles.
