Stage 1: Sponge Iron Plant (Capacity: 100,000 TPA)
The Sponge Iron Plant is the first division under SALUJA STEEL & Power (P) Ltd. At this level, about 65% to 68% of crude iron ore is directly processed and reduced at high temperatures between 750 °C and 1050 °C. The resulting output serves as sponge iron exhibiting metallization characteristics with iron content between 85% and 95%.
Stage 2: SMS Division (Capacity: 400,000 TPA)
Our SMS Division functions as a strong Billets manufacturing Unit with internal production capacity of over 400,000 TPA. At this stage, acquired sponge iron and scrap iron are processed in controlled atmospheres at temperatures over 1600°C. The end result is Billets, which are then sent into our Rolling Division to manufacture high-quality Premium TMT Bars.
Stage 3: Rolling Mill (Capacity: 400,000 TPA)
Our Rolling Mill is the best of technology and operates in a fully automated environment with modern advanced technology. In this step, Billets will undergo the Hot Rolling process and will move directly to the last step, from which the reliable TMT product is born. Our TMT Bars produced under the Prestigious Brand Name SALUJA GOLD have been launched in 2014 and have received tremendous acceptance in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, and the North Eastern States.

Dr. Amarjeet Singh Saluja – A man of steel – demonstrates what is possible through commitment. Dr. Amarjeet Singh Saluja is the Iron Man of the 21st century. He is lighting up Giridh while forging steel. His humble beginnings shed light on ethics and hard work, giving rise to a revolution for Giridh that inspires young people. He grew a nail factory into a steel plant, which highlights nothing but willpower.
With purpose and conviction, Saluja started a plant with local commitment. Dr. Amarjeet Singh Saluja faced many obstacles in Assam, yet he persisted. During his thick and thin, where there were challenges, he kept imagining his father’s voice – “Life’s challenges are purposefully given to you to help you grow.” Lies and dishonesty will wash away, while the ‘truth’ will be ‘on top’.Work today, reap tomorrow. Planning is the first step to genius.
You cannot achieve anything without struggle; Saluja’s journey was no different. After the upheaval in 1984, there were damages to his Giridih plants, but he picked up the pieces and rebuilt. He recalls that during the darkest days, it was hard to understand the point of such resolve. He is a philanthropist, and he believes uniting people is only achievable through a holy way of life. He reinforced his character through books.
Dr. Amarjeet Singh Saluja is an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He wanted his children to receive the best education available. The family’s three sons. Taranjeet Saluja and Joravar Saluja achieved MBAs in London while Satvinder Saluja shone in Delhi. The sons are now ready to take on the family business and carry on their legacy, having an education. Now they will develop their investment in Giridih for economic development, to ensure people have access to quality education, starting with creating a top-notch institute. By developing the educational system in Giridih, they are creating the foundations for Jharkhand’s educational prominence. ‘Saluja and Sons’ is setting a new and bold standard.
